“The film site for over 300 westerns since 1939”
Just fifteen minutes from Tucson at the base of the Tucson Mountains lay a preserved slice of Americana, Old Tucson. Passing through the gates of an old frontier town, visitors from around the globe are transported back to a time when fearless men with six shooters ruled the Old West. The perfect setting for the more than 300 movies and television productions filmed at the location since 1939. Old Tucson is a working film location and western theme park located in Tucson, Arizona. We provide entertainment, historical tours and special event services for the general public, local and international companies. We also provide location and production services to film production companies and independent producers and directors.
This place is really cool looking, but it's about $20 to access for one adult, and they don't just let you walk around for free or anything to look at it, so it's sort of like a day trip, though the drive through the hills/mountains to get there is worth the journey itself if you don't end up paying to enter.
Used to love going to Nightfall as a child. Now just overpriced and not really worth it. For people that are from out of town or into western films might enjoy it.
Amazing place. Grew up visiting this place. Nightfall is amazing Halloween season. Must visit place when in Tucson.
I went here when I was 13 and loved it. Although I have to say my 4 younger boy cousins definitely loved it more. It was a blast seeing all of the reenactments and even just walking around is fun. Even more though is watching movies and being able to say "Hey I was there!"
