“celebrate the day of the dead!”
The Terlingua cemetery is pretty historic and old, so it has that great, creepy old cemetery look. Many people who are buried here were miners from back when mercury was mined in the area. Many of the miners died as a result of their work. Still others lost their lives in influenza epidemics. The cemetery is still used by locals today, so when you visit, please be respectful. It's also where an annual Dia de los Muertos celebration takes place.
