Museum of Aviation

While there is a donation box in the main building, admission is free. Hours aren't listed on Roadtrippers so put them below. They have a snack bar, but the hours are pretty limited, selling lunch items, from 11AM-2PM.

My wife and I stopped here while travelling from Atlanta to Savannah. It's a bit of a detour but well worth the visit if you like aircraft and/or military history. In addition to several hangers filled with planes, there are many other interesting exhibits.

The picture on the listing isn't current as there is another large hanger to the left of the one in the back. This houses display aircraft as well the many they are working on restoring. We got to talk to a couple of retired gentleman that were working the restoration of a 50's era helicopter. They were very accommodating, explaining about the museum, where they get the planes, and current states of the various restorations.

Sunday Noon to 5:00pm

This place was incredible! We were in awe in just how many planes this place had. Its a must see.

Great muti-building and outside display aircraft museum. Something for everyone.

The Aviation Museum Georgia is truly a wonderful place to visit for those interested in aviation, but it’s also a great stop for those traveling south from Atlanta with kids. Located approximately 20 minutes from Exit 146 on I-75 in Warner Robins, it’s the perfect place to give the kids (and you!) a break. With massive airplane exhibits in hangars, and a field full of aircraft to run around, it’s a museum that has something for everyone.

Amazing museum if you are an aviation lover this is the place to visit. It’s big and free so much to see. Plan to be there for two hours at least.

This museum is huge. It’s free so that is something to know before coming. They have a gift shop and proceeds go to the museum. They have numerous hangars with different presentations. While we were there, the crew was busy fixing some of the aircraft and continuing to improve the facilities. A few veterans behind the desk and walking about, truly was a great touch. Thank you gentleman and women for you service. It’s definitely worth the trip if you around the area.
