“Award winning hotel and restaurant”
For some The Inn is a romantic fantasy world far removed from the harsh realities of modern day life, for others it’s a culinary oasis akin to visiting a Michelin starred restaurant in the European countryside. Some are surprised – and relieved – that The Inn doesn’t take itself too seriously. Guests often remark that while the interiors could be called grand they are also whimsical and wonderfully comfortable. For history lovers Washington, Virginia is one of the few unspoiled villages left in America. They say it hasn’t changed much since George Washington first surveyed it and named the streets back in 1749. Whatever you’re seeking rest assured that our staff will welcome the challenge of living up to all of your impossible expectations. We consider it our business to make dreams come true.
Consistently ranked as one of the country's best restuarants with an eighteen-room inn. Engagements and special occasions are de rigeur around here. The Gamekeeper's Cottage has a bedroom loft that's like an elegant treehouse. http://fathomaway.com/postcards/romance/most-romantic-hotels-us-south/
The Inn at Little Washington is nestled in a picturesque village in Virginia, that looks much the same as it did when George Washington first named the streets. Local vineyards, hikes in the Shenandoah Valley, and easy access to shopping destinations are all just icing on the cake. The real prize here is the ten-course tasting menu from Chef and Proprietor Patrick O'Connell. You and your girlfriends won't be able to resist what New York Times Craig Claiborne called "the most magnificent inn I've ever seen, in this country or Europe, where I had the most fantastic meal of my life."
From the tastefully eclectic decor to the spot-on service (they know what they're doing, but aren't uptight about anything, letting people switch items from one menu to another) this place is ballin'. Booking a room here is the real hidden gem though... some of them have private gardens and fireplaces and stuff! The less fancy rooms still get you access to the art gallery and the garden and afternoon tea, and free loaner bikes, which is outstanding.
