The Elephant's Feet are pair a mountain pillars that stand out from the flatlands on the Navajo Nation. To everyone who sees these formations, they look just like their name: Elephant's Feet. The Elephant's Feet climb to 5,502 feet (1,677.01 meters) above sea level. Located along Highway 160, at Tonalea some 20 miles east of Tuba City on the Navajo Nation Reservation - approaching Monument Valley on the border of Arizona/Utah.

If you're driving the other way they are a little bit harder to spot, they are right after a curve and cannot be seen before the curve. The pull in is on the same side of the road as the feet so a left if coming from the Tuba City direction.

Can't miss these as you're traveling in either direction along Highway 160. There's not a whole lot more here than a cool photo op, but if you're feeling like stretching your legs a bit you can pull over to the side of the road and walk around the base of the structures. Depending on the time of the year there are also usually a couple of pop up stands set up selling handmade Navajo jewelry.

Very cool. Just a quick stop for a pic along the road.

Literally right next to the road (Route 160) on the north side of the pavement. The indicator is in about the right spot on the drive (about halfway between Tuba City and Kayenta). Can't miss them, especially if you are driving from Kayenta to Tuba City.

Right next to the road. No other towers around so you can't miss them. Just rolled our windows down and took a pick:)
