Red Top Mountain State Park’s pretty, wooded campground is nestled on the shores of Allatoona Lake, a large reservoir popular for fishing, swimming, and watersports. The park also has strong cell phone coverage and WiFi access that can be purchased by the day or the week.

“We had excellent internet!” raves Campendium user KnMTravel. “We paid for 2 weeks costing about $43 and we had WiFi speeds better than we used to have at home […] We had a WiFi speed range of -36 to -42 dBm and a Verizon data speed of -77 dBm. We couldn’t have been happier with the conditions for working our day jobs.”

Five-star reviewed Pocahontas State Park offers 90-plus miles of trails, boating, and camping just outside of Richmond, Virginia. Silver Springs State Park, Ocala, Florida

Gulf State Park, Orange Beach, Alabama

Two miles of white sand beaches await at Gulf State Park. In addition to sand and surf, the park offers hiking, biking, a nature center, freshwater boating, and swimming. 

“Phenomenal WiFi service, unlike any we’ve experienced at a park or campground yet. In addition, great service on both AT&T and Verizon,” shares Slices of Pie. Cheyenne Mountain State Park is a rare Colorado park that’s open year-round for camping, offering 51 full-service sites, 10 tent sites, and 28 miles of trails for hiking and biking. The park also features an archery range, educational programs, and handicap-accessible day-use picnic areas.

“Hard to get a reservation, but worth the wait,” says JRK. “OTA television works great, cell signal (AT&T) is strong … all this while you watch deer, turkey, and the occasional bear out your camper window.”

Elephant Butte Lake State Park, Elephant Butte, New Mexico

Boaters and anglers will love camping at Quail Run Campground in Elephant Butte Lake State Park. This five-star reviewed campground is perched on the shores of 57-square-mile Elephant Butte Lake, New Mexico’s largest body of water. For those who prefer to stay on solid ground, the lake offers miles of sandy beaches for walking, relaxing, and building sandcastles.

Three Island Crossing State Park, Glenns Ferry, Idaho

Situated along the Snake River, this state park is located at a popular river crossing point for 19th-century wagon trains.
